Joseph was born on September 10, 1929, in Belington, West Virginia, to parents James and Lillian Rosenberger. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by his entire family. Joseph was the proud father of 4, grandfather of 15, a great-grandfather of 33, and great-great-grandfather of 3. Joe lived in Rootstown for 64 years and was a long-time faithful member of Grace Church of Rootstown, formerly known as New Milford Baptist Church. He served as a Sunday School teacher and Usher at the church. Before retirement, Joe worked as a Maintenance/Terminal Operator for Union Oil Company for 38 years. He was known for always doing mechanical work on something to help someone. Joe enjoyed traveling, especially spending winters in Sebring, Florida. While there, Joe and wife Wanda attended Bethany Baptist Church. Above all, a prayer warrior, he was devoted to his Lord and his family.
Joe was preceded in death by his wife Wanda (Sinsel) Rosenberger, parents James and Lillian Rosenberger, brother Philip Rosenberger, sister Noragail Skidmore and great grandson Justin Rosenberger. Joe is survived by his children: W. David (Linda) Rosenberger, Susan (Daniel) Laskos, Karen (Philip) Dorfman, and Edward (Colleen) Rosenberger. Sisters Christine (Paul) Chuppa and Barbara (Frank) Panetta. Sister in-law June Rosenberger, as well as generations of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family. Friends and family will be received Saturday, November 20, 2021 at 10:30am, at Grace Church of Rootstown, 4808 Tallmadge Rd, Memorial services will be officiated by Joe’s grandson Adam Laskos. Interment will follow at Homeland Cemetery in Rootstown.
