Fred was born in Ravenna, Ohio on April 9, 1944 to parents Stanley and Wilma Wise. He had been a self-employed truck driver associated with Kenmore Construction until retiring due to health reasons. Fred was very adept at building stuff and could fabricate anything out of many different materials. Fred could also fix anything that was broken. Most of all he loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren.
Fred is survived by his wife Elizabeth and his children: Steve Wise, Patty (Chris) Goodyear, and his beloved grandchildren: Anthony and Matthew Goodyear. He also leaves his siblings: Dan (Linda) Wise, Mary Beth (Philip) Kreitz, David (Mary) Wise, Ann (Wise) Gillespie, Tom, (Barb) Wise, Jack Wise, and his in-laws: Mary Ann (Santo) Pedone, Cathy (Gary) Magno, Bob Eichler, Margaret (Mike) Pusateri, Theresa (Eichler) Yonker, and Tom Eichler. Many loving nieces and nephews will also cherish his memory.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Mike, mother & father-in-law Robert and Mary Eichler, brothers-in-law: Thad Gillespie and Kenny Yonker and sister-in-law Terry Eichler.

Family and friends will be received on Sunday, February 7, 2016 at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna from 2:00pm until 5:00pm. Mass of Christian Burial, officiated by Rev. Thomas Acker, will be held at 10:00am on Monday, February, 8, at St. Joseph Church, 2643 Waterloo Rd., Randolph, Oh. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
