Curtis was born on May 5, 1935 in Hillsboro, West Virginia to parents Irvin and Mary (Doss) Coleman. He was a truck driver and retired after a long career driving for Lester Coggins Trucking Co.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Grace (Starks) Coleman and his children Randy (Eileen) Coleman, Debbie (Gene) Williams, Dona (James) Tippett, Mary (Ernie) Swanigan, and Karen (Ron) Gayelit. Curtis also leaves his daughter-in-law Gale Coleman, 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
His parents, his son Gary Coleman and grandson James Curtis Tippett preceded him in death.
Per his wishes, cremation has been honored and a Celebration of his Life will be held at a later date.
Curtis’s family extends their sincere appreciation and thanks to all the staff of Heartland Hospice, especially caregivers Rebecca and Lisa, for their wonderful and compassionate care given to Curtis and our family.
