Cheryl Lynn Lane

Cheryl was born in Ravenna on July 24, 1946 to parents Lawrence A. and Helen (Starkey) Bracken. She graduated from Ravenna High School and had been employed as a home health aide and a supermarket cashier.

Cheryl was a past trustee of the Ravenna Eagles and involved with Senior Companions were she earned a service award in 2006. She enjoyed planting and taking care of her flower beds, loved soap operas, especially the Young and the Restless, and most of all spending time with her family.

Cheryl is survived by her daughters Melissa (Christopher Mayle) Reed of Ravenna and Stefanie Lane of Buckhannon, WV. Also left are her beloved 8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She will also be sadly missed by her nephew Jeremie Greenwell, Tim Knight, niece Heather Knight and her cousin (like a sister) Linda Sutliff.

She was preceded in death by her husband Perry Lane, mother Helen Cardinal, sister Deborah Knight and niece Crystal Knight.

Friends will be received at the Wood-Kortright- Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 East Main Street, Ravenna, Oh. 44266 on Monday, October 2, 2023, from 11am until the funeral service, officiated by Pastor David Ballert, beginning at 12pm. Interment will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery in Twinsburg.
