She was born on July 7, 1917, in Burgettstown, PA, a daughter of the late John and Filomina (Predabon) Colpo. Mrs. Moskun was an active parishioner of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Ravenna, a choir member and member of the Catholic Daughters of America.
She was an avid bridge player and made thousands of pairs of rosaries that were distributed to needy Catholics all over the world. She made trips to Conco, Italy and to Sydney Australia, discovering and connecting relatives that had been disconnected when her parents and uncle left Italy in the early 1900's.
On May 17, 1939 she was married to Joseph P. Moskun who died on March 19, 1994.
She is survived by her sons Paul (Suzanne) Moskun of Ravenna and Jim (Erin) Moskun of Hollis, NH. Her son-in-law Thomas Jesse of Wilton, NH. Her sister Lena (Colpo) Mavrich of Burgettstown. Her grandchildren Jon Jesse of Hollis, Linda Jesse of Fitchburg, MA, Megan Moskun of Boston, MA, Lucas Moskun of New Orleans, LA, Magnolia, Siena & Capri Moskun all of Hollis and her great grandchildren Katie & Annabelle Jesse of Hollis and Kingsley McCarthy of Boston, as well as several generations of loving nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Catherine is preceded in death by her daughter Patricia Jesse four brothers Geno, Jordan, George and Pete Colpo and four sisters Jennie Dalfol, Lucille Saska, Josephine Pauchnik; and Mary Rollage.
Friends will be received Friday, May 27, 2016, from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, 409 W. Main St., Ravenna, with Reverend William Kraynak celebrating the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Final resting place will be St. Mary Cemetery on a later date.
