Carol Ann Baker

She was born June 9, 1935, in Akron, Ohio, a daughter of the late Charles and Julia (Winkler) Fitt. Carol was a kind, caring, and generous person. She retired from the GM plant in Lordstown in 2004 and was a member of the Blackhorse Baptist Church. Carol enjoyed cooking, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Survivors include her children: Jeannie (Victor) Hansen, Tina (Tim) McCrady, and Tom (Lynn) Baker all of Edinburg, and Susanne (Lars) Andersen of Del Ray Beach, FL; grandchildren: Jeremy (Katie) Hansen, Jennifer (Joe) Sorace, Jackie Hansen, Christopher McCrady, Mandy (Alek) Mergy, Katie McCrady, Timmy McCrady, Heather Baker, Danny Baker, Hayley Baker, and Tiffani (Tom) Crittendon; great-grandchildren: Austin Hansen, Joshua Hansen, and Trenton McCrady. Carol is also survived by her brother Jerry Fitt of Akron, sisters Judy (Tony) Formisano of Akron and Nickie (George) Sovak of Uniontown, as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Lester Baker, her parents, and her brother Roger Fitt.

Friends will be received Friday, January 27, 2012, from 10:00 AM until the 11:00 AM funeral service officiated by Pastor Gregory Freeman at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna. Interment will follow at Edinburg Cemetery.
