Barbara Lynne (Chapman) Jones

She was born March 16, 1951, in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, to parents Telford C. and Alfretta Pearl (Hironimus) Chapman. Barbara graduated from Bohecker’s College and worked as a caregiver and nurse’s aide for many years.

Barbara was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. She enjoyed hosting holiday parties for family and listening to music, especially the Bee Gees. She also loved animals and was quite the seamstress, often crocheting, embroidering, and quilting.

Barbara is survived by her children: James E. (Tracie) Fritz of Kent, Ohio, Robert Fritz Ayers of Ravenna, Ohio, Troy A. Fritz of Kent, Ohio, and Stacy L. Fritz of Ravenna, Ohio, her grandchildren: Sarah Fritz, Kevin Fritz, Jacob Fritz, and Danny Ayers, her great-grandchildren: Carlianna Shumaker, Kaia Shumaker, Danielle Shumaker, and Hunter Shumaker, as well as her sister Kathy (Kent) Wilson of N. Branch, Michigan.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Sandy Seiger, and her brother Barry Chapman.

Friends and family will be received Wednesday, December 21, 2022, from 5:00 – 6:00 PM with funeral service following at 6:00 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna. Private burial will take place at Crown Hill Cemetery in Twinsburg.
