Wilma Mason Durham, 91, crossed over peacefully on January 21, 2015 with her loving son Jack at her side. She was born in Florence, S.C., to Hart and Blanche Mason on June 22, 1923. A graduate of Mars Hill College, she worked for HUD after World War ll and later she worked as Office Manager for her husband Jack Durham’s realty company.
Wilma is survived by her son Jack Durham, Jr. and wife Debbie; and her stepson James, and wife Sarah Durham.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Jack Durham, Sr.
She was a charter member of St. John’s Baptist Church in Raleigh, where she was organist for 30 years.
The funeral service will be held at St. John’s Baptist Church at 2:00P.M. on January 25, 2015 with visitation preceding from 1:00 to 2:00 at the church. Burial at Montlawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to St. John’s Baptist Church, 1615 Oberlin Road, Raleigh, NC 27608.
