William "Bo" Henry Allen III

Bo, native to Louisburg, NC was born on August 16, 1946 to the late William Henry Allen, Jr and Anne (Liverman) Allen.

Bo attended Holding Technical Institute, now Wake Technical Community College. Bo had a love for technology, expanding his knowledge working as a CAD draftsman and designer for 27 years. After he retired from IBM, Bo went on to work with Kelly-Springfield Tire in Fayetteville and Troxler Electronics in RTP.

Bo had a lifelong passion for music, whether he was singing in the church choir or playing drums in local Triangle party bands. His genuine love of all people kept him involved in all aspects of his community, whether he was assisting the local Scout Troop or volunteering at Rex Hospital. He enjoyed golf, spending time on Topsail Island, and was a devoted fan of the NC State Wolfpack.

Bo is preceded in death by his father & mother, brother-in-law James Umberger, and many close friends whose memories he cherished.

Bo is survived by his devoted wife Cathy (Walton) Allen, sons William Henry Allen IV (wife Stuart), William Kevin Allen (wife Shannon), daughter Anne Catherine Allen, grandchildren Caroline, Crawford, Henry and Will, sister Page Strickland, nieces and nephews, and loving cat Molly.

A celebration of Bo's life will be held at a later date, when it is safe for all to gather.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations are made in memory of Bo to the V Foundation or the American Heart Association.
