Sarah Frances Smith Massey

Sarah Frances Smith Massey, 100, of Raleigh, died on August 2, 2018. Frances was a vibrant woman with a sharp wit and great personality. She always found something to laugh and smile about, and loved to entertain her family and friends with her antics, dances and personality. She also loved to meet new people. Frances worked in Raleigh for Dr. Rhodes and Dr. Daniels in their practice for 39 years. Prior to that, she attended Hardbarger's Business School where Mrs. Hardbarger was her teacher.

Frances is survived by her brother, Dwight Smith of Danville, Virginia; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Massey; parents, Mack and Keller Smith; and siblings, Alton Smith, James Arthur Smith, Howard Smith, Estelle Stephens, Kenneth Smith, Waylon Smith and Roger Smith.

A graveside service was held on Friday, August 10 at 11:00am at Oakwood Cemetery, 701 Oakwood Avenue, Raleigh, NC.
