She was born to the late James S Griffin, Jr. and Lutrelle Lafrage Griffin. Sara was a graduate of Needham Broughton High School, class of 1958 and a graduate of Salem College and then became a homemaker. She was a member of Hayes Barton United Methodist Church in Raleigh, NC.
Sarah is survived by her daughters Hollis Jenkins (Timothy Krygsveld) of St Thomas, grandson, (Tanner); Robin Finch (Mike) of Wilmington, NC and her two god daughters, Allison Evans Flaugher and Susan Evans Flaugher
The family wants to thank Valecia Booth & Jenenne Patterson for their many years of faithful service taking care of Sara. Sara was like a second mom to Valecia.
A service to celebrate Sara’s life will be held at Brown Wynne Funeral Home, 300 St. Mary’s Street, Raleigh, NC 27605, on Sunday, October 13th at 1 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Amedisys Hospice Care, 220 New Fidelity Court, Garner, NC 27529.
