Alan Squires passed away surrounded by his family on December 19, 2017. He was 25 years old with a very promising future ahead of him. He was born in Raleigh to Linda Miller Squires and Julian Ray Squires on January 29, 1992. He is also survived by his younger brother, Julian Scott Squires; his grandmother “Nannie”, Vivi Miller; aunts and uncles: Ashley Miller, David Miller, Elizabeth Miller and Darryl Miller; cousins: Marcus Miller, Lauren Miller, and Jeffrey Smith; and by other family and many friends. He was preceded in death by his grandmother: Myrtle M. Squires and cousin: Spenser Smith.
Alan was employed as a sales consultant with Pulte Homes, Inc. He was a graduate of Wakefield High School, attended Ole Miss and graduated from East Carolina University in 2015. He was a member of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity.
Family will receive friends on Friday, December 22, 2017 from 1-3 pm at Mitchell Funeral Home (7209 Glenwood Avenue). A Celebration of Alan’s Life will begin at 3 pm, with interment to follow at Raleigh Memorial Park.
