My name is Marcell Barnes, I remember Ms. Haenel, she was my favorite teacher ever! It saddens me to just now find out that she has passed on years ago. I was in her kindergarten class before I moved to where I currently live.  I will never forget her kind face, and her warm hugs whenever I was feeling upset. I'm currently a sophomore and I still remember her like it was yesterday, she always had something for us whenever we came to class in the morning, and whenever one of us in class was feeling down, she never failed to make sure we were alright and give us an incouraging word.
To the family- I am deeply sorry for your loss, I know how much of a great person she was, she's in a better place now.

I had Ms.Haenel in kindergarten, during the years 2009-2010. I was looking up my teachers to see if they would be able to come to my graduation in the coming years, and found this sad news. Ms.Haenel was such a wonderful woman. she meant so much to me. having her be one part of my history will never be forgotten. during my graduation in the year 2022, I will have a picture of her framed in the row of all of my teachers, and have her have her own seat. thank you Ms.Haenel for all that you’ve done for me, and thank you for making me who i’ve become today.

I just read of Becky's passing in the GCC alumni magazine. I'm so sorry to all of her loved ones. She was a dear friend during my years at Grove City. What a sharp wit and good sense of humor she had! She will be deeply missed.

I just read the sad news of Becky's passing in the GCC alumni bulletin.  We lived across the hall from each other Freshman year and she was always a lot of fun.  I was so shocked and sad and I'm so very sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you, her family.

I just read the sad news. I apologize. I am late in sending my condolences. Becky was a sorority sister of mine at Grove City College. I remember her! She was a lot of fun and funny too. Just a unique human being, that did her own thing. My prayers and thoughts to her brothers.

Many fond memories of Becky from high school sports and band. Seems she grew up into a great educator and mentor. A very sad loss of a beautiful soul. May she now rest in peace. My deepest sympathies to David and Greg and their families. God Bless.

    I am so sorry for your loss Rebecca was a great friend and I will miss her so much. I am so glad I was able to call you friend. I will always cherish the memories with Rebecca she was a great teacher and lived her life to see the best in everything she did. Beautiful person I am having a hard time Praying for her family.

Becky needed to ad more, and a prayer too, but first, i can't say good bye, for its not, its see u later down the road, was happy to see you the last time you were in the area, all i know is i gave you the biggest bear hugg ever, if i would have known it would have been the last one, i would have held you longer, the memories of all us from the river area, i will always have, esp the dance class lessons, your mom and Ronelle mom thought up for u, her, geoff and my punishment,,for the one thing we did, all the yrs ridin the bus,clases will ever be in my heart, just wished one more time to say hi, but i will wait til i see u again on the other side, u just took the trip before us, one we all must travel, you growing up was like a sister, all the field trips from garfield,,those were good time, i will miss u for now, that is assured, to your brothers and there families,,am sorry, she was a beautiful soul,   May the blessed sunlight shine on you

Very saddened to hear this. Becky we had some good times growing up. May you RIP My deepest condolences to your family.

We want to extend our sympathy to Becky's family for this loss. Becky and her mom Toni were both active at Willoughby United Methodist Church, and we missed them very much when they left this area. Becky was a wonderful, vibrant person, and we are very sad to read this news.

Rebecca, Jacob and I just sobbed at the loss of your beautiful soul from this world. The impact you made on the lives of everyone that you came in contact with changed people, especially your students and their families. You were the bravest and strongest person that I will ever know and you will be missed each and every day.

Miss Haenel was my son's kindergarten teacher at Wakelon, and what a wonderful teacher she was!  Peace to her family.

Becky, u were a good friend growing up, u, were like a sister, am just speechless, i known u all my life, and till i see u on the other side,,,,
