Priscilla King Peele, age 73, a resident of Brookdale MacArthur Park in Cary, passed away on April 19, 2022 at the SECU Hospice Home in Smithfield. Born on July 17, 1948 in Martin County, North Carolina; she was the daughter of the late Robert Edwin Peele and Katherine Sitterson Peele.
Priscilla went to Sacred Heart College in Belmont, North Carolina and became a Registered Nurse. She worked and lived in Atlanta, Georgia for many years before returning to take care of her ailing mother. She then worked at various hospitals in North Carolina. Due to her love of animals, especially cats, Priscilla changed careers and became a veterinarian technician. She worked for many years at the Cat Clinic in Cary, North Carolina.
Priscilla enjoyed cooking and traveling. She was always happy to share her expertise and experience with both. She also loved to shop and was always up on the latest trends for facial care and make-up. Anyone who knew Priscilla could easily tell you that her greatest talent was her singing. She truly had the voice of an angel.
A Memorial Service was held on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at 2 pm in the Dining Room of Brookdale MacArthur Park Senior Living in Cary. A Video of the Service can be found below under the heading DONATIONS for those that could not attend.
Priscilla’s last act of charity was to delegate her funds to the NC State Veterinary Hospital to allow for scholarships for pet owners in need of assistance. In lieu of flowers, we honor her kindness to animals and suggest memorial contributions to your favorite animal shelter or charity in her memory.
