She was preceded by her parents, Edgar and Dorothy; a sister, Carolyn; a brother, Phillip; and her beloved Samuel, “Sam”. She is survived by her daughter, Tammy Kurczek and husband, Michael; her son, Ryan and partner Maria; grandchildren, Jessica, Rebecca, Ayden, Catherine, Franki, Adam, Andrew, August and Natalie; great grandchildren, Arya, Avery, Destiny, Breigha, Kellan and Logan; sister, Barbara; brothers, Sidney, Douglas and Stephen; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She wanted to be remembered simply as a human being who “loved and was loved.”

Arrangements are by Brown Wynne Funeral Home, 1701 E Millbrook Rd, Raleigh. Visitation will be held at 3:00pm on Sunday, January 27, 2019 with a service following at 4:00pm. Interment will be at the Historic Oakwood Cemetery, 701 Oakwood Ave, Raleigh on Monday, January 28, at 11:00am.

In lieu of flowers, Nancy’s family requests family and friends to perform at “random act of kindness” and/or give a contribution to Transitions LifeCare, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC, 27607.
