Michael Albert Sweet

Michael Albert Sweet, 40, of Raleigh NC passed away on Tuesday September 8, 2020 surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife, Katie Singleton-Sweet and their daughter Krista Martinez. Also survived by daughter Chloe Sweet.

Michael was born in Orange, CA, to Mary Sweet (Coyte) of Falmouth, MA, and the late Robert G Sweet. He is survived by his brother Robert M Sweet and wife Kerry of Raleigh NC, sister Pamela Levecque (Sweet) and husband John, of Raleigh NC, brother Brian Sweet and fiance Amanda Enderle of Lancaster OH, sister Hannah Sweet of Boston MA. Mother in law Cathy Singleton of Raleigh NC, and late Robert G Singleton, brothers in law James Singleton of Raleigh, NC and Bo Singleton of Cary NC.

He leaves behind his nephews Spencer Sweet, Carson Sweet, Dylan Sweet, Matthew Levecque, and his niece Abigail Levecque.

As a boy and a young man, Michael was a touring member of the All American Boys Chorus, based in Costa Mesa, CA. He had many wonderful years full of joy and new experiences and he treasured them all. After the chorus he joined the Sea Cadets on both the West and East coast. In both of these roles, he was successful and formed life long friendships. The family moved back to Massachusetts where Michael attended Catholic Memorial High School in West Roxbury, MA and after graduation he joined the Navy. Over the years he learned the plumbing trade just like his Dad and older brother. His love of the ocean waves, salty air, music and his family and friends filled his heart with happiness and lit his smile with joy.

Michael was so kind, sweet, thoughtful and fun. We are heartbroken to say goodbye so soon.
