She was born on December 14, 1931, in Hobbsville, NC to the late Alvah and Marine Blanchard. She was a public school teacher for over 25 years most of which were in Wake County. Her joys in life were her family, her church, singing in the choir, and entertaining her many friends and neighbors. She was a long time member of Forest Hills Baptist Church in Raleigh, NC.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, A. G. Bullard, Jr.; son, Steven and his wife Lisa; daughter, Elizabeth Deane and husband David; grandchildren, Christopher Bullard and wife Laura, Emily Bullard, Abby Bullard, Caroline and Margaret Deane; great granddaughter arriving in June of 2018 to Christopher and Laura, and her sister and lifelong best friend, Annie Hope Blanchard Christian.
Funeral service will take place on Sunday, April 22, 2 pm, preceded by a visitation and reception at 1 pm at Forest Hills Baptist Church 201 Dixie Trail, Raleigh, NC 27607 with interment following at Raleigh Memorial Park 7501 Glenwood Avenue, Raleigh, NC 27612.
Flowers may be sent to Forest Hills Baptist Church and donations may be given to Forest Hills Missions Endowment or the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship towards the Lois and A. G. Bullard Missions Endowment at 160 Clairemont Avenue Suite 500, Decatur, GA 30030.
