Oh my goodness. One of the best people I knew and cared for. To the Newton family my friend had your support I know. My heart 💞 sinks knowing that I was not aware of her passing sooner. My support would have been with you as you know we go way back to Brentwood with fun times. Linda and I worked closely together as we say with our other family(NW). Please keep your memories close to you ❤️ that I believe would be one of her desires.I will forever be thinking of you and Sharing in your loss. Be better than blessed

Linda was not only my beautiful sister, but she was also my friend, my mentor, my beach buddy, my shagging buddy, my shopping buddy, and my confidant.   Linda had a great sense of humor and a smile that would light up any room.  She was so loved by her sisters Ruby Cotton, Hazel Trexler and I.  We are all heartbroken, but we know we'll see her again.  

Growing up in Winston-Salem, and being a little younger, I didn’t really know my cousin Linda well.  As adults, when my brother, Ernie, would come from Memphis, we’d go to Raleigh a couple of times a year and meet family for a long lunch. Linda was always a fun and vibrant addition to these gatherings!! We looked foreword to these get-togethers and getting to know our cousins as adults. Praying now, for comfort  for all those who are grieving  in her absence. 

Love these pictures of my beautiful and fun Sister Linda!  I can't describe how much I'm missing her...she was my beach buddy, my mentor, my confidant, shagging buddy, shopping buddy, sittin' on the porch and drinkin' wine buddy.  Mostly, she was just my beloved Sister.  Most assuredly, my Mother was right alongside Jesus greeting her and wrapping their arms around her.  RIP Linda...Ruby, Hazel and I  will see you again❤

Loved visiting and cheering with your mom at Chandler’s baseball games.  Always a treat to talk with her!! 

Enjoyed working with Linda at Nationwide. She was a sweet and funny lady.  Prayers for her family 

Linda and I became friends when I got a secretarial position in the area she worked in as a Supervisor.  That was well over 45 years ago.   Linda, Betty and I  shared many fun times over lunches, bowling on the Nationwide League and trips to the beach!  Even in her retirement and mine we did many fun trips.  Linda was always a constant in my life. She was the sister I never had.   I will forever miss her smile and laugh. Thanks for all the memories I have of our times together.  I know I will see her again one day!  I love you Linda

So sorry to hear about Linda.  She was such a sweet lady. My thoughts and prayers go out to Kelly and
family.  

I have so many fond memories of Linda, first and foremost as a friend as well as a boss. We met at Nationwide when I was young and single. She gave me such good advice over the years and we had so much fun together, Linda, Sue and I.  We all loved to dance and had a lot of laughs over the years on the Nationwide Bowling League.  Payday Friday lunches were the best plus happy hour after work on Fridays. May you Rest In Peace, Linda. I know I will see you again one day. 

I was sorry to hear about Linda I worked for her at nationwide she was the best supervisor .I thought alot of her.I am praying for the family .

Lots of good memories from working with Linda at Nationwide as well as bowling with her on the Nationwide league. We also went on bowling tournaments on the weekends. Had to make sure that we did not pick the week of the SOS in Myrtle Beach. Also enjoyed Kelley and Billy along with other family throughout the years. Rest in Peace Linda. 




Kelley I couldn't believe what I was reading about your mom. My deepest condolences, prayers and hugs to you and your family. 😔 Linda hired me at Nationwide and has always been a part of my Nationwide family.

We were double first cousins and Marie and I felt like we had four additional sisters. Christmases  were lots of fun when we all got together. Linda always kept us laughing. 
Loved her and will miss her. Rest In Peace dear Linda.
