Leroy Monroe Keever Jr.

Leroy worked as an Engineer retiring from Duke Energy and Virginia Power. He is a veteran of the armed forces having served in the United States Army and the Air Force Reserves. He loved anything outdoors, and enjoyed spending his time fishing, boating, flying kits at the beach, going to the lake and traveling all over.

He was a fun loving guy, who always had something going on. He also had a love for cars and motorcycles, having owned many over the years. He was a wonderful dad, and always was a lot of fun to be around.

Leroy is survived by his four children, Catherine K. Triplett, Gregory M. Keever, and his wife, Teresa, Edward B. Keever, and his wife, Debra, and Kenneth E. Keever; 12 grandchildren, Christopher Triplett, Karianna Keever, Gregory M. Keever, Jr., Natalie Roberts, Andrea Davis, Kevin Keever, John Keever, Whitney Keever, Allison Keever, Kaylah Keever, Brian Keever and Austin Keever; siblings, Joseph Keever, and Janet Caudell, and her husband, Joe. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Janet Keever.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 15, from 6:00pm-8:00pm at Mitchell Funeral Home, 7209 Glenwood Ave, Raleigh, NC. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 16 at 11:00am at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 301 E. Whitaker Mill Road, Raleigh, NC. Burial will take place at Montlawn Memorial Park. A reception will follow the burial at Westminster Presbyterian Church.
