Lee Mowery fought a tough battle with Parkinson's disease. He was a man with such a huge heart. He was truly loved by each life he touched. He taught his children, hope, faith, love, service to others, never to lie, stand up for what is right, and always laugh.
He served 22 yrs in the Air Force. He worked for the FAA for over 20 years.
He was a Shriner clown...Pepe... for the Shriners Children Hospital. He taught conversation English to HS students while stationed in Japan.
Taught Sunday school to HS students.
A member of the Masons, Tall Cedars, and Eastern Star.
He was an accomplished country musician. Began singing professionally at the age of 14yrs old. Tex, as he was called, got to play with some of the old greats. He had SO many stories he shared about playing with them.
Lots of laughs. He accomplished his country dream to play at the Grand Old Opry 3 times! He preferred to always to be called "Tex".
Lee always made you laugh... whether by a joke, a tease, or a silly face. Lots of cherished funny times.
Lee was preceded in death by his Mom and Dad, and his two sons, Ricky and Kris.
Surviving is his loving and best friend.. .his wife, of 61yrs; his oldest son and his wife, and his youngest "best girl in the whole wide world”, as he called her and her husband. Four precious grandchildren that he was always so proud of and loved dearly; 3 of their husbands that he was grateful for the love and care they give to the girls. His pride and joy of his sweet 3 great grandchildren.
Lee; Tex; husband; Dad; and Pop pop...we miss you, yet, know you'll meet us when we arrive in heaven. We will cherish your love, your jokes, and all our precious moments with you. Blessings.
