Jason Thomas Laughinghouse of Raleigh died on Monday, December 15, 2014. Jason was born on August 9, 1978 and spent most of his life in Raleigh. Jason graduated from Oxford Academy and attended North Carolina State University. He was employed by MP Contracting as an assistant project manager. He loved fishing and camping and spending his summers at Atlantic Beach, living there briefly as a young adult. Jason was an amazing chef. He loved sports and would often accompany his stepfather to many UNC football and basketball games.
Jason is survived by his mother, Lynne Clark Worth, stepfather, Hal V. Worth III and his father, Stephen Thomas Laughinghouse. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins who loved him very much and who will miss him greatly.
He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Lynwood Eugene Clark and Helen Johnson Clark and by his paternal grandparents, Ward T. Laughinghouse and Doris Stancil Laughinghouse.
Jason will be remembered for his kind, gregarious spirit. He will be missed deeply by those who knew and loved him.
A private memorial service will be held at St. Michael’s Episcopal Church.
