He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Faye Klein; daughter, Debra F. Hopkins and her husband Richard A.; son, James A. Klein, Jr. and his wife Donna J.; grandsons, Daniel A. Hopkins, David A. Hopkins and Christopher A. Klein, granddaughter Caroline S. Klein, great granddaughter Anna Blair Hopkins.
Jim graduated from Louisiana State University and was in the U.S. Air Force.
His family will receive friends at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home on Friday, February 12, 2010 from 7:00-9:00PM located at 1701 East Millbrook Road, Raleigh, NC and his funeral service will be on Saturday, February 13, 2010 at 1:00PM at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home followed by a gravesite service at the Raleigh Memorial Park on Glenwood Avenue, Raleigh, NC.
