He is survived and missed by Elaine, his wife of 66 years and daughters Gail Ann Lashock and Susan Beth D'Amico and her husband, Tony D'Amico. Also grandsons Nicholas D'Amico and David D'Amico. Dennis is further survived by sisters-in-law Geraldine Lashock, Bernadine Lashock, Charlotte Cerny and Barbara Mashuda (Norman) and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
Dennis was sadly preceded in death in 1994 by daughter Ann Denise Lashock. He was the last surviving child born to the late Nicholas and Theresa Soda Lashock. Preceding him in death were sisters Alice Lashock, Valeria Warnke (Donald) and Inez Coda (Lawrence) and brothers Ervin Lashock, Leonard (Hilda) Lashock, Marvin (Marge) Lashock, Eugene (Helen) Lashock, Adrian Lashock and Urban Lashock. He was also preceded in death by his brother-in-law Richard Arthur Luedtke.
For 38 years Dennis was a Drafting Supervisor in Spec Engineering and a Product Specialist in Development Engineering with Allis-Chalmers/Siemens. Having been born and raised on a farm, he was used to hard work and was always willing to help family, friends and anyone in need.
Our thanks and appreciation to Dr. Edmunson, Mrs. Orr, Roy and all the staff at the Springmoor Clinic and in the Stewart Health Center who so kindly cared for Dennis the past 5-1/2 years. He did miss those rabbits in the courtyard, though.
Funeral services will be on Tuesday, October 26, at 2 PM, with visitation 12:30 PM until the time of service at the Mitchell Funeral Home, 7209 Glenwood Ave., Raleigh, NC There will be a reception at Mitchell Funeral Home immediately after the burial service which will take place in the Mausoleum in Raleigh Memorial Park Cemetery.
