Annie studied business in college, graduated in 1944, then worked for the TVA in Knoxville, TN. She completed an MA in Education at Appalachian State at age 57 and was a career teacher working in Gaston and Wake Co, NC schools. Annie set high standards for herself and excelled at whatever she did. Her passion was genealogy research and she was a member of the Caswell-Nash DAR chapter in Raleigh. She was an excellent seamstress, enjoyed bridge clubs wherever she lived, and loved the Wolfpack.
