Margaret Ann Tampone, October 1, 1951 – September 26, 2023
Richard John Amorosi, “Ray”, April 14, 1946 – September 3, 2021
Peg and Ray met while working at Mission Church High School in 1977 and married on July 26, 1980. They were married for 41 years. They found their natural habitat in 1994 when they moved to Marshfield Hills. As a couple they found contentment and purpose in the community they discovered and the antique house they called home. They surrounded themselves with ever growing collections of artwork, antiques, and rare books. Ray started writing again in Marshfield after a hiatus of 20 yrs. In total he published six volumes of poetry. His last book, Promises, was published in 2018. A succession of golden retrievers and yellow labs were valued members of the household. The summer tomato crop and the well-stocked bird feeder were near obsessions. They were fierce individualists who lived life as it suited them, confident and colorful. They are survived by Peg’s siblings, Patricia Quinlan and Gary Tampone, and by their niece and nephew, Julia Quinlan and Kevin Tampone.
