Maureen Morris

Maureen Morris, aged 81, passed away at home peacefully on July 17, 2019, after battling cancer for 1.5 years. She was born in Queens, daughter of Lawrence and Eleanor (Reilly) Lennon, predeceased by husband Daniel Lunney and her brother Bob (Millie) and brothers-in-law John Eschwie and Tommy Lunney. She is survived by her children Danny (Susan), Bill, and Barbara Reynolds (David) and her grandchildren, Shana, Liam, Jake, Deanna, and Thomas. She will also be sadly missed by her sisters Margaret Convey (Donald), Florence Lunney, Patty Eschwie, and Gail Lennon and numerous nieces and nephews, and large circle of friends. She greatly enjoyed being a nurse, educated at St. Vincent’s, and being involved in the Creedmoor Civic Association, and an Our Lady of Wisdom alumni.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 on Saturday July 20, 2019 at R Stutzmann & Son Funeral Home 224-39 Jamaica Avenue Queens Village, NY. A funeral mass will be held at 10:45 AM on Monday July 22 at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church 242-20 88th Avenue Bellerose, NY.Burial will follow the services at 1 pm Long Island National Cemetery 2040 Wellwood Avenue East Farmingdale, NY.
