 I have been thinking about you so much the last few days. I know we didn’t know each other for a very long time, but you  were the most beautiful, funny, honest, and kind man that anybody could  ever meet. I am so grateful to have met you. Merry Christmas Brendan. It was a bit lonely this year without you, but your memory leaves a smile on my face. 

I had the most random thought of you while eating dinner. I remember when we were at Applebee's when we were young. You were eating these breaded pieces of shrimp that Mom gave you to try because you had never had it before. You didn't know that you bit off the meat and left the tails, so you ate the whole thing while we were in shock. All you said after that was that it was good but very crunchy.

Hey Brendan. Today was Thanksgiving. Out first one without you. It was hard of course, but the family pulled through. We got your favorite cookie for dessert. Sorry we didn't make mom's crumb cake. Maybe next time. We didn't cook this year so you didn't miss out of mom's cooking.  No meatless meatballs either lol. 

We miss you. Your room is clean though! Mom put your stuff away and neated it up. Did you know you left a moldy pizza in the corner? God you were always bad with cleaning your room.

To my bestfriend, I’m gonna be honest, I didn’t even know I could post something on here until today.. I wish I would have known sooner. Brendan, thankyou for being a friend , one of the best ones out there. If anyone knew Brendan well enough, he was a  person who could make your day 10x better even on your worse day possible. He could be serious when he wanted, but that didn’t stop him from always smiling and trying to see the better side of things. His smart remarks and humor were probably my favorite things about him and to be honest that’s probably why we became bestfriends in the first place lol… but Brendan will all the jokes aside… you have taken a part of my heart with you. Ever since freshman year of high school, I knew our friendship was meant to be. You know,  Certain things I do, say, or things that just randomly come up remind me of you and I feel like that’s going to always happen and that I hope it to always be a sign from you that you are always there with me, with us all. I’m so grateful to have had and forever have a bestfriend like you, a shoulder to cry on & a brother I could depend on.  It’s not a goodbye, but simply a ‘see you later.’ Love you Brendan , may you rest in peace🤍

Hey Brendan - I had a memory of you today. I was watching a video where a person showed their new puppy and they were play fighting and biting. They explained that whenever that occurs and you want to break your puppy out of the habit of biting hard - you are meant to let out a yelp noise like a dog would. Well they made a dramatic yelp noise and it was funny but not really because of the guy but because I remember when I told you do this exact thing with Toby when he was a puppy and you two would playfight. I remember telling you to let out a loud yelp noise...you literally yelled out the word "yelp" in the most high pitched voice you could. I couldn't stop laughing. 

My condolences to the entire Mackay-Pettito family. Brendan was the nicest boy I had ever met. He was always smiling, laughing and just an all around nice person to know and be around. Im going to miss him a lot. 

Brendan and I were very close in middle school and high school. Every day after we’d get out of 74, we would always walk home together since we lived near each other. And I would always walk a little past my house just so we could hangout longer. Didn’t matter how long we’d go without contact, we always made time to wish each other happy birthday every single year. I’ll love and miss you forever, birthday twin. RIP❤️

It was a privilege to have been friends with Brendan since 7th grade and made so many memories in the process. He is missed deeply and I wish my sincerest condolences to his friends and family. Rest easy Brendan.
