Dale was born in Seattle, Washington, to Donald and Corinne Goebel on September 29, 1951. He graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in Burien, Washington.
Dale served twenty years in the United States Army as a helicopter mechanic and staff sergeant. After retiring from the military, he worked at Valley Construction in Pacific Algona, Washington. He then moved on to work at The Boeing Company in Frederickson, Washington as a Materials Management Facilitator. Dale was a member of All Saints Catholic Church and volunteered at the All Saints Theatrical Repertoire Association (ASTRA). He was also a proud member of the Elks Lodge in Tacoma, Washington.
Dale enjoyed building, dancing, gardening, traveling, listening to music, and spending time with his family and friends. He was an avid Seahawks fan, and loved watching Seattle sports teams. Dale had a zest for life and enjoyed helping others. We will miss his amazing smile, generous heart, goofy nature, and unconditional love, but will always be blessed with many lifelong memories.
Dale is survived by his mother Corinne (Stimson) Goebel; brother Michael Goebel; sister Linda Christensen (William); sister Nancy Fehr (Mark); son Shawn Goebel (Danyel); daughter Angelic Goebel; son David Goebel (Michelle); son Kyle Goebel; ten grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A mass and celebration of his life will be held at All Saints Catholic Church, 204 6th Avenue Southwest, Puyallup, Washington on Wednesday, January 14, 2015, at 11:00 am with Fr. Michael Radermacher officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the All Saints Catholic Church.
