Monique Page Scoles

Monique Page Scoles, a beacon of kindness and selflessness, passed away on November 8, 2024, at the age of 82, surrounded by the love of her family in Port Charlotte, Florida, after a courageous battle with serious health challenges, including Alzheimer’s disease. She was under the compassionate care of Tidewell Hospice at the time of her passing. Born on November 12, 1941, in Cornwall, Ontario, Canada, to the late Armand and Pauline Page, Monique's life was a vibrant tapestry woven with love, dedication, and an unwavering sense of style.

The loving daughter of the late Armand and Pauline Page, Monique grew up in a nurturing environment alongside her siblings. She was predeceased by her brother Claude Page and cherished the memories of her late grandchildren, Cameron and Ty Lowe.

Monique's legacy continues through her devoted husband of 50 years, John, her children Michael Lowe, Shawn (Beatrice) Lowe, Wendy (Mark) Benedict, Stacy (Billy) Jones, and John Scoles II, as well as her surviving brother, Rick Page, and sisters, Anita Ruest and Collette Naylor.

Monique's infectious laughter and genuine care for others left an indelible mark on her extensive family, which includes grandchildren Austin Lowe, Hallie Davids, Megan Lowe, Triston Lowe, Curtis Lowe, Shawn Lowe, Abby Lowe, Paige Lowe, Brittany Dallaire, Brandy Welsh, Jordon Gillet, Zachary Benedict, Kendra Coz, Cameron Scoles, and Liam Scoles. She was also a proud great-grandmother to Gunnar, Stella, Atlas Dallaire, Gabriel, Aysen Welch, Jay-cee Barroso, Kade, Natalie, Joe, and Laura Lowe.

Monique's professional life was as diverse and impactful as her personal one. After moving to Punta Gorda, Florida, she became a respected figure in the banking industry, where she served as the head proof operator for Barnett Bank. Her entrepreneurial spirit later led her to venture into the world of business, where she started a small home furnishings store, Unique Designs, which reflected her impeccable taste and eye for style. Monique also dedicated her time to Mo's Cleaning, working with Century 21. Throughout her life, she remained an active member of the Punta Gorda Presbyterian Church, contributing to the spiritual fabric of her community.

Her interests and passions were as colorful as the clothes she so loved. Known for her impeccable fashion sense, Monique was always dressed in the latest styles and vibrant colors. She was kind-hearted to her core, always ready to help those in need and ensuring her well-loved clothes found new life with others. Even as Alzheimer’s disease affected her memory, Monique retained her great sense of humor, bringing smiles to the faces of those around her and lightening the hearts of her family and friends.

Monique will be remembered as a woman who lived her life with grace and generosity. The words that best encapsulate her essence are kind, selfless, and generous—qualities that she embodied every day. Her legacy is one of warmth, laughter, and the countless lives she touched with her open heart. Monique's spirit, her unwavering positivity, and her capacity to love unconditionally will live on in the memories of those she left behind.
