Gorda, FL at the age of 67. He was born on March 16, 1956 in Flint, Michigan to John & Jeanie Ward.
John was blessed with an opportunity right out of high school, working for J&L Steel Mill and then LTV
Steel Mill in Cleveland, Ohio. John worked hard & accomplished many successes over many years there
in the steel industry. He then went on to start & own businesses in both Cleveland, Ohio & Southwest
Florida. Anyone who knew John Ward for any length of time, would describe him as hard working with
an incredibly disciplined work ethic. John just recently sold his last business venture, ready to start
enjoying retirement life.
John was a family man & fierce protector of those he loved. He spent many years owning & riding Harley
Davidson motorcycles & was an avid supporter of NRA. He was a patriot who loved his country, his
family, his dog, supporting various churches & he had a soft spot for the homeless & others in need. You
could find John daily helping his elderly neighbors &/or anyone he came across who was in need.
John was preceded in death by his father John W Ward (Bill). He is survived by his mother Jeanie Ward
Nickelson (Andy Nickelson), daughter Christi Lee Stover (Eric Allen Stover), son John W Ward III
