Daniel H. Deese, 84, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on September 24th, 2022, at Shorepoint Health in Punta Gorda, FL. He was born on April, 27th 1938, in Robeson County, NC, to Elbert and Sadie Deese. He grew up surrounded by his family and after high school, he opened a successful travel-related Drywall Company that he operated for nearly 25 years. One work site was in Punta Gorda, Fl, where he then fell in love with Sylvia Slaughter Norton and then married on June 11th, 1969. After the children grew up and left home, they decided to both partner and become Owner/Operators for companies transporting across the country. He retired in 2013 from Stevens Transportation and became a full-time family man. He will be remembered by, Daughter, Dora (Charles) Smith; Son, Jim (Tara) Deese; Daughter, Julie (Patrick) Holland; Son, Ricky (Cheryle) Deese; As well as 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; Brothers and Sisters, Melvin Deese, Dorothy Watts, H Kelly Deese, Polly Hunt, James Albert Deese, Lona Mae Williams, Kyra Deese; along with many Nephew and Nieces.
Services will be a private ceremony with immediate family members and friends. We will cherish the loving memories of our Father, Grandfather, Brother and Friend.
