James Russell Lanier

He was born in Marshall County, TN on May 8, 1942 to the late Herschel Lanier and Beulah Collins Lanier. He retired from Rogers Group, a member of New Zion Baptist Church, a fisherman, and a motorcycle enthusiast. Preceding him in death are his beloved daughter, Heather Lanier and his 2 brothers, Tommy and Wayne Lanier.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda Newton Lanier of Goodspring, TN, his sons, Ray Lanier and Hope of Pulaski, Tim Edwards of Pulaski, Lee Edwards and Marissa of Pulaski, and Brian Lanier and Keesha of Pulaski, his daughters, Christina Vanwormer and Dan of Pulaski and Lisa Hughes and Kyle of Pulaski, his special sister, Debbie Pryor Rose and James of Pulaski, his sister, Frances Johnson and Arnold of CA, 13 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and his furry friends, Poco, Scooter, Bella and Cooper.

Visitation will be on Thursday, November 7, 2019 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Carr & Erwin Funeral Home, where Funeral Services will be held on Friday, November 8, 2019, at 1:00 p.m. Burial to follow in New Zion Cemetery.
