Mr. Martin was born August 27, 1944 to Hubert and Lois Bland Martin. He was a United States Army Veteran of the Vietnam and Korean War and was a retired security guard at Redstone Arsenal. Mr. Martin was preceded in death by his parents, brothers James and Daniel Martin and one sister Lana Aycock.
Visitation will be Monday August 24, 2015 from 6 until 9 p.m. at Carr & Erwin Funeral Home. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday August 25, 2015 at Carr & Erwin Chapel with interment in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife Mary Martin of Ardmore, AL, step-sons Jeremy Robinson of Elkmont, AL, Jim Swinford of Fayetteville, TN, step-daughter Brandy Mullins of Ardmore, AL, brother Randy Martin, sisters Freda Edwards, Mona Wortham, Susie Maddox all of Ardmore, grandchildren MacKenzy Johnson, Hayden Robinson, Breanna McMunn, Emily Mullins.
