Carrol Brown Hopkins

Carrol Brown Hopkins, of the Brick Church community, passed away peacefully at her residence November 22, 2024 surrounded by family. She was born December 24, 1940 to Bill and Sarah Patterson Brown. Carrol was preceded in death by her parents; a sister Connie Pope; and niece Susan Brown. She grew up in the Bradshaw community and is survived by her husband of 64yrs Kenneth Hopkins; son Ritchie Samuel Hopkins (Yvonne); sister Linda Mitchell (Joe); brother Larry Brown (Jeanette); grandchildren Jacob Hopkins (Anna), Kayla Cobb (Russ); great grandchildren Jackson; Kaisley; Knox, Holden; Neylee; Summitt; several nieces and nephews. She was a devoted member of Beech Hill Church of Christ, taught children’s Sunday School for years and always put God first in life. Carrol was the best loving mother and mother-in-law anyone could ever ask for. In her free time she enjoyed her grandchildren, all sporting events, sewing and gardening. She completed her education at Beech Hill High School and at Martin College.

Visitation will be 5-8pm Monday November 25, 2024 at Carr & Erwin Funeral Home. Funeral will be 2pm Tuesday November 26, 2024 with interment to follow in Brick Church Cemetery.
