Wanda (Rene) Munden, 57, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sept. 18, 2011. She is survived by sisters, Luann (Ed) Fogels of Anchorage, AK, Barbara Munden of Pueblo West, CO; brother Emery (Annie) Munden of Charleston, SC; nieces, Mona (Dr. Mark) Stevens of Manchester, ME, Geri (Patrick) Hirsch of Pueblo, CO, Avery Fogels of Anchorage, AK, Kayla Munden of Tacoma, WA; nephew, Cody (Dawn) Gruber of Durango, CO; great nieces Lavina and Hazel Stevens of Manchester, ME. Rene is preceded in death by parents, Dewey and Constance Munden. Rene was excited to greet her first great nephew in October. She enjoyed having lunch with special friends and spending time with family; she liked to crochet, needlepoint, and play Bingo. Her family would like to thank Dr. Onyejekwe and Dr. Primer and the staff of 5 Tower at Parkview Medical Center for the superb care they provided. In addition, the compassion, dignity, and care the staff at Joni Fair Hospice House provided is greatly appreciated. Rene had a love for animals so in lieu of food and flowers, please consider a memorial contribution in her name to P.A.W.S for Life Animal Shelter through the funeral home.
