In sadness, but with love, we share the passing of our dear mother Marietta (Marie) Emelianovich, age 92, of Pueblo. Marietta went to be with the Lord and Savior on July 14, 2023. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Emelianovich, mother and father Anne and Edmund DeCesaro, in-laws Mary and Joseph Emelianovich, and brother Donald (Tess) DeCesaro. She is survived by her daughters Karen (Al) Colletti, Annette (Tom) Cowen, and brother Michael DeCesaro, as well as many nieces and nephews. Marietta and Joseph were happily married for 57 years. Marietta spend most of her life as a homemaker. She was a great cook, who delighted her family with many Italian meals. Her cooking came from her heart to please her family. She loved people, and always greeted everyone with a smile. Marietta and Joseph enjoyed traveling, and the last place they traveled to was South Korea. Marietta was strong in her Catholic faith, attending St. Mary’s Help of Christians Church where she was involved in the Alter Society, as well as serving as a Eucharistic Minister. The family would like to thank all of the staff at Desert Willow Nursing Home for all of the wonderful care that our Mother was given. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. May she rest in peace, and her memory continue to inspire us all to live our lives well with kindness, compassion, and love. Mom, Thank you for being our mother and our friend. We have been blessed with a kind, loving, caring, and gentle woman who will live in our hearts until we meet again.
