Joseph Peter Behm, 95, of Pueblo, Colorado passed away on September 5, 2024. He was born on April 3, 1929 in Sterling, Colorado to Andrew and Anna Behm. Joseph was preceded in death by his wife, Rose M. Behm of 63 years; siblings Simon (Emma) Behm, Andrew (Mag) Behm, Mary (Joe) Ertle, Katie (Bill) Volz, Mildred Behm, and Annie (John) Dittler; and grandson Tyler Behm.
Joseph is survived by his children Sandra (Guinn) Pults, Deborah (Frank) Genova, Joseph (Anne) Behm Jr., Pam Behm (Tess), Timothy (Chris) Behm, and Lisa Romero (Alan). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren; his very dear sister in law Leanna (Terry) Kramer; and several very special nieces and nephews.
Joseph was an excellent father to his children, and was loved and adored by all who knew him. He never met a single person that he could not carry on a conversation with. Joseph served in the Air Force, and retired from the Pueblo Army Depot after 42 years. During his 38 years of retirement, he spent his time working on lawn movers, cars, etc. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed things such as stock-car racing, playing softball, hunting, fishing, and playing cards, attending family gatherings, and visiting with friends and neighbors, and even sometimes complete strangers.
A viewing will be held on Friday, September 13, 2024 at 9am, followed by Mass at 10am at Christ the King Church, with burial to follow at Imperial Memorial Gardens. A reception will be held at Christ the King Parish Hall following the burial.
