Harold (Shorty) Johnson, 92, was born Dec. 18, 1923 in La Jara, Colorado. He died Dec. 2, 2016 in Pueblo. Preceded in death by his loving wife of 51 years Marjorie Laveve Huffaker Johnson, and granddaughter Carrie Lynn Johnson. Survived by Brother Donald Johnson (California) and his children Lee Johnson (Frances) Penrose, Colorado, Rick Johnson (Jean) Pueblo, Colorado, Gary Johnson (Sue) South Jordan, Utah, Vickie Bridgman (Kent) Pueblo West, Colorado, and Gayle Shumard (Larry) serving church mission in DR Congo, Africa. He had 21 grandchildren, and 69 great- grandchildren. He was a WWII vet and mechanic at Wagner Equipment for 32 Years. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and served in many leadership capacities. He was an avid outdoorsman. A legend in fly fishing and hunting. He was love by all who knew him and will be greatly missed. Funeral service 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 9, 2016 at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 4720 Surfwood Ln., Pueblo.
