Donna Lynn Fluke

She was born on September 24, 1946 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to the late Don and Vera Christman and relocated to Pueblo, Colorado with her family, where she graduated from South High School and went on to complete her BA Degree in Music Education at Southern Colorado State College. She worked for many years as a musical educator, choir director, eventually retiring from Sangre De Cristo Hospice as a medical records administrator.

Donna was married on 3 occasions from which she was blessed with 6 children, both biologically and through marriage, and made no distinction in how deeply she loved and cared for each one. She leaves behind 5 of those children: Laurie (Rodney) Mishmash, Jerald Dean Fluke, Sheila (Anthony) Phillips, Yvonne Cordova, and Lisa (Chris) Bolt. She is also survived by her sister, Vicki Valdez of Colorado Springs, and brother Duane (Cheryl) Christman of Pueblo. Also surviving are grandchildren Stephen Stokes, Wesley Stokes, Crystal Mishmash, Tiffany Mishmash, Colby Fluke, Colin Fluke, Nick (Carla) Phillips, Dakota Redmond, Jesse Phillips, Anthony (Brittany) Cordova, AJ Cordova, Courtney Bolt, C. J. Bolt, Derek Fluke, Dominic Fluke and Trent Hernandez, as well as 5 great grandchildren and numerous nephews, nieces and extended family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Don and Vera Christman, husband of 35 years, Jerome Fluke, stepson John (Melissa) Fluke, very special mother-in-law Lillian Weed, as well as previous spouses, Kenneth Weed and Manuel Carrillo.

She was a kind, loving woman and her house was always open to anyone in need. She loved to paint china, but her true passion was baking. Her delicious pies, and fabulous sticky buns were so great! Donna made countless cookie trays every year at Christmas and would deliver them personally, so she could visit with everyone that was lucky enough to get one. Her cookies were an array of culinary delight, with her toffee being a favorite of many. Donna was deeply spiritual and lived her faith daily. Donna had the voice of an angel and used her incredible gift through her church worship, in teaching and in honoring so many at special lifetime events. Her brother, Duane says he sees her in a white robe as she takes her place in the choir of angels. She was an incredible sister, wife, mother, grandmother and woman of God and will forever be loved and missed.
