Donald Eugene Winters, 87, passed away on January 17, 2015. Donald was born in Antonito, Colorado on May 21, 1927 and grew up in Minturn, Colorado. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, graduated from Colorado University in 1951 and was selected for membership to Phi Beta Kappa and Kappa Delta Pi. He spent 33 years teaching math at Central High School in Pueblo. He loved photography, computers, hiking and camping with family and friends, and he always found great comfort in nature. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and a son. Donald is survived by his wife of 66 years, Dorothy; daughters, Cheryl Makovsky (Jack), Brenda Zeman (Joe), Aimee Tihonovich (Michael); grandchildren, Sam and Ben Makovsky, Geneveive and Natalie Zeman, and Kit and Lane Tihonovich.
