Vincent J. Cirelli, Jr. “Buddy” 62, of Providence, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 30, 2018 at the Roger Williams Medical Center in Providence. He was the husband of the late Linda C. (Hunter) Cirelli.Buddy grew up in Providence and graduated from Lasalle Academy in 1974. He was an all state swimmer and certified life guard during his high school years. From there he worked for the City of Providence and was a member of Union Local 1033 until he retired. He was also the owner of his family’s business “Old Timers Tap” in Providence until they closed the doors after over 50 years of business. Buddy was an avid beach goer and loved the sun. Buddy had a big personality and was always the life of the party. But what he loved most was spending time with his kids and grandchildren. He was loved tremendously and will be deeply missed. He is survived by his two children, Layne M. Maaz, and her husband, Joshua, of Johnston and Vincent J. Cirelli, III, of Cranston; three sisters, Donna M. Cirelli, Esq., of Allston, MA, Elaine M. Cirelli, of Brooklyn, NY, and Mary E. O' Connor, of Warwick; four loving grandchildren, Michael Periquito, Alexia Maaz, Christian Cirelli, and Vincent J. Cirelli, IV; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was the brother of the late Michael and James Cirelli.His funeral will be held on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at 8:30 am, from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am, in Saint Augustine Church, 639 Mount Pleasant Avenue, Providence. Burial will follow in Saint Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours, Wednesday, April 4, 2018 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm.
