Vaughn worked as a technician for Verizon for many years, but was truly a jack of all trades. He was an artist in all forms. Whether he was cutting hair as a barber, having photo shoots with friends and family, or just sketching on napkins, his artistic expression always shined through.
He touched so many lives with his humor and infectious personality. His big smile will forever be engrained on the hearts of those he loved.
What brought him the greatest joy of all was being a father. He adored his children and loved creating new memories and adventures with them. Some might even say he was a big kid himself.
He is survived by his children; Vaughn M. Smith Spruill, LaVhana Towns and Veronica Smith. He was the brother of Benson C. Nyam, Ikema Ezikpe, Makia Smith, Oyediya Ezikpe, Sakeisha Rusell and the late Barry Smith.
Visitation will be held Monday, February 20, 2023 from 9:30 AM – 11:00 AM in the PONTARELLI-MARINO FUNERAL HOME, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence. A Celebration of Vaughn’s life will follow at 11:00 AM in the funeral home.
