Thomas E. Riley

Born in Somerville, MA, he was a son of the late Edward J. and Eleanor L. (Kinney) Riley.

Tom was the loving father of Kevin P. Riley, John M. Riley, and his wife Lauren (Ciavola), and the late Christopher Thomas Riley; cherished grandfather of Nora; beloved brother of James R. Riley, (Sharon). He also leaves a niece and several nephews.

Tom worked as a production manager for AJ Oster for 25 years before retiring. He was the Vice President of the London Riley Memorial Scholarship Fund in honor of his late son. He was also a member of the CLCF Tuesday afternoon men’s golf league and was an avid bowler, walker, hiker, and outdoorsman. Tom enjoyed spending time with his family, especially travelling with his wife and spending summers by the beach in Narragansett. He was also a cigar enthusiast and was often found enjoying a good cigar.

Visitation will be held Friday, January 26th from 9:00-10:30 a.m. in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. in St. Augustine Church, 639 Mount Pleasant Avenue, Providence. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the London Riley Memorial Scholarship Fund, 53 Dante Avenue, Johnston, RI 02919.
