Ruth L. Allen

Ruth L. (Maldonado) Allen, 71, of Narragansett, passed away peacefully at Rhode Island Hospital, on November 20, 2024 after a brief illness. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Daniel Allen, and her cherished son, Frankie A. Marrocco. She was also predeceased by her first husband, Frank Marrocco and her mother, Belmira Lopes.

Born in Puerto Rico, she came to the United States at a young age and lived in East Providence. Ruth worked as a medical assistant, and later as an administrative assistant in the Rhode Island Senate. She retired in 2020 when she and Danny decided to become “snow-birds” in one of their favorite places, Pompano Beach, FL.

Ruthy leaves behind her devoted family: sister-in-law Nancy Allen Santucci and her husband Anthony, her brother-in-law Kevin Allen and his wife, Carleen Doorley, her nephew, Allen Santucci, nieces, Julia and Olivia Santucci, and great-nephew, Declan Santucci, as well as her dear friend, Donna Rivera, and her sons Robert and Jeremie.

Her warmth, kindness, and love for her family and friends will always be remembered, and she will forever hold a special place in their hearts.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, Saturday, November 30th at 10:00 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church, in Providence, to which relatives and friends are welcome. Burial will be private. Visiting hours and flowers are respectfully omitted.
