Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Pasquale and Margaret “Nicolina” (Stocco) Venditti and brother of the late Nicholas E. Venditti and his wife Emma.
He proudly served in the United States Navy during WWII and the United States Air Force during the Korean War.
Raymond was a biology teacher and former head of the science department at Hope High School.
He was a world traveler and avidly followed the Olympic Track and Field.
Raymond was the cherished uncle of Valerie Lisi and her husband Ernie and Nancy Mastracchio; loving great-uncle of Gregory, Jeffrey (Joanna), and Micala Lisi and Amanda Volpe; great-great uncle of several great-great nieces and nephews; and cousin of many. He also leaves his adopted family, John and Sandra Quattrocchi and Kimberly, Stephanie, and the late Sandra Palazzo.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, December 1st at 11:00 a.m. in St. Anthony Church, 1413 Mineral Spring Ave, North Providence. Burial with military honors will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence.
