Paul William Bryant passed away December 23, 2024, in Providence, RI, at age 69 from Alzheimer’s disease. Paul was born on May 29, 1955, in Walnut Creek, CA, to Keith and Rosanne Bryant. He had a sister, Claire.
Paul lived in northern California as a child, and received a bachelor’s degree in range management from Chico State University.
After college, Paul worked as a range conservationist for the Bureau of Land Management in Winnemucca, NV. From there, he moved to Bridgeport, CA, and started his 38-year career with the U.S. Forest Service. During his tenure with the Forest Service, he held various positions in natural resources conservation in Ketchum, Boise, and Dufur, OR.
Paul met his wife, Janet, in Winnemucca. They were married for 43 years and have a beloved daughter, Allison. They were blessed to have many friends among Paul’s Forest Service colleagues and residents of the places they lived. After Paul and Janet retired, they moved to Connecticut and then to Rhode Island.
Paul was an avid hunter and angler. With his buddies and his father, Keith, Paul fished and hunted throughout Idaho, Oregon and Nevada.
Paul is survived by his wife, Janet, his daughter, Allison (Ryan Laughlin), his stepmother, Patti Bryant, and his nephews, Matt Carr and Forrest Findley. He was predeceased by his parents, Rosanne and Keith, and his sister Claire.
A celebration of Paul’s life will be held in Providence at a date to be determined.
