Patricia Agnes Chamberlain

Warwick Patricia A. (Diggins) Chamberlain, 62, of Warwick, passed away suddenly on Friday, September 9, 2016. She was the wife of the late Earl H. Chamberlain and loving mother of Sarah L. Chamberlain.Born in Providence, and raised in Fox Point, she was a daughter of the late Francis E. "Lindy" and Mary A. (Cotter) Diggins.Patti was a medical care specialist for the State of Rhode Island, Department of Human Services, for thirty-eight years, retiring last year. Patti loved her family and celebrating life. She was always smiling and ready to go to any gathering where she enjoyed laughing and dancing. She was very devoted to her family, nieces, nephews, cousins, and girlfriends. She was proud and loved celebrating her Irish heritage. Her favorite days were spent on the beach, at Mary Carpenters, Matunuck, where she was a summer resident for the past twenty-two years.In addition to her daughter Sarah, she leaves three sisters, Maureen A. (Danny) Clarkin, Alicia B. (Eddie) Araujo and Fran E. (George) Krug; two brothers, Richard J. (Esther) Diggins and Kevin M. Diggins; godchildren, Mark Silva and Tim Clarkin, and many nieces and nephews. She was a sister of the late John F. Diggins. The funeral will be held Thursday, at 8:45 am, from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Saint Joseph Church, 92 Hope Street, Providence.
