Lauren M. Pezzelli Hickey

Born in Providence, she was a daughter of Norma (Plante) Pezzelli and the late Pasquale “Pat” Pezzelli. A graduate of North Providence High School, she was a licensed Nursing Home Administrator and was administrator of the former Elm Brook Home in Smithfield until her retirement. A communicant of Saint Pius V Church in Providence, she was a lifelong Catholic and held a deep devotion to our Blessed Mother.

Besides her mother, she is also survived by her husband Raymond Hickey Sr.; her loving children to whom she was much devoted: her daughter, Michelle A. Iadevaia-Nichols, and son Raymond Hickey Jr.; and her cherished granddaughter, Alexandra Nichols. She was the dear sister of Susan K. Whipple, Peter J. Pezzelli, Paul M. Pezzelli and Lisa Ann Hall, and aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Tuesday 4-7 p.m. with a funeral on Wednesday at 9 a.m. from the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. in Saint Pius V Church, 55 Elmhurst Avenue, Providence. Burial will be private.
