Irene L. Richardson (Mancini), 89, of North Providence was united in heaven with her Lord on March 15, 2018. For 68 years, she was the beloved wife of Joseph P. Richardson Sr. A resident of Providence for most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Pieirino and Theresa (Pontarelli) Mancini.
Besides her husband, Irene was the loving mother of two sons, Joseph P. Richardson Jr. (Christine Richardson) and Raymond C. Richardson (Suzanne Fraielli). Irene leaves beloved grandsons, Michael P. Richardson (Kelley) & Jay Joseph Richardson (Amelia). Irene leaves her precious great grandson, Joseph Vicente Richardson. She is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her three brothers, Salvatore, John and Peter Mancini and her two sisters Emma and Anna Richardson.
Irene was a devoted member of Blessed Sacrament Church. She was a dedicated employee of Merchants Overseas for 42 years.
Visitation and funeral services will be held Saturday, 8-9:30 a.m. in the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Church, 179 Academy Avenue, Providence. Entombment will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
