WARWICK - McCALL, Gerald A. "Buck", 84, of Massachusetts Avenue, died Friday at Riverview Healthcare Community. He was the husband of Margaret A. (Beliveau) McCall. They had been married for 58 years. Born in Providence, a son of the late William E., and Ellen G. (Johnston) McCall, he had lived in Warwick for 55 years. Mr. McCall was a supervisor and foreman for the former New England Telephone Company for 39 years before he retired in 1984. He was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. He was a WWII Army Air Corps veteran and served in the European Theater. An avid golfer, he was longtime member of the West Warwick Country Club, and was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church for 55 years. Besides his wife, he leaves his children, Patricia A. Young of North Kingstown, Gerald A. McCall Jr. of Orange, CA, Daniel J. McCall of Van Nuys, CA, and Timothy E. McCall of Warwick; and three grandchildren Katherine H. McCall, Brian P. McCall, and Colin McCall. He was the brother of the late William J. McCall, Chief Alfred E. McCall (EGPD-Ret.), Barbara A. McCall and Helen M. Davis. A Mass of Christian Burial, to which relatives and friends are invited, will be Friday at 10:00am in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 596 Jefferson Boulevard, Warwick. Burial with military honors will be in R.I. Veterans Cemetery. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
